Who Can Become an Instructor?

HSI currently identifies the basic prerequisites for new instructor candidates as:

  • At least 17 years old
  • Current provider-level certification and/or demonstrated competency in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
  • AED competency
  • First Aid competency
